Seminar Programme of world class

Seminars are the heart and soul of the Göteborg Book Fair. Writers, philosophers, thinkers, politicians and artists from all over the world meet to talk about books, current events and the big questions of life in front of an enthusiastic and knowledgeable audience. The Scandinavian literature always has a central role at the Fair.

Every year the Seminar Programme has its own unique focus. The Göteborg Book Fair 2010 will focus on Africa and African literature. This year, there will be 446 seminars all in all, with participants from 36 countries. The seminars are predominantly held in Scandinavian languages, but there are also many seminars held in other languages - English, French and German most commonly.

Together with writers, publishers, media, organizations and companies from Scandinavia and Africa, we look forward to presenting the richness of African literature to the public in Scandinavia.
