A world class Seminar Programme

Seminars are the heart and soul of the Göteborg Book Fair. Writers, philosophers, thinkers, politicians and artists from all over the world meet to talk about books, current events and the big questions of life in front of an enthusiastic and knowledgeable audience. The Scandinavian literature always has a central role at the Fair and in 2012 more so than ever.

Every year the Seminar Programme has its own unique focus. The Göteborg Book Fair 2012 will be a true Nordic cultural manifestation! In cooperation with the Nordic Council and the Nordic Council of Ministers, as well as different organisations and publishers from the Nordic region, the Book Fair will focus on Nordic literature in 2012.

Together with writers, publishers, media, organizations and companies from the Nordic countries, we look forward to presenting the richness of Nordic literature to the public.

The seminars are predominantly held in Scandinavian languages, but there are also many seminars held in other languages – English most commonly.
