New names at Meg 2012

Media Days in Gothenburg (Meg), can now present several new guests who will join the event that will be held for the first time on 8-9 March 2012.

Claire Aguilar (head of programming department of the Independent Television Service (ITVS)), Patrick Liu (producer of Battlefield 3 and Dice game company), Mattias Göransson (editor of Filter newspaper) and Francine Cunningham (the European Newspaper Publishers' Association (ENPA)) will be among many other event participants.

Bertil Ternert (information chef of the royal court), Eva Hamilton (CEO of SVT), Ola Ahlvarsson (serial entrepreneur and the founder of more than 20 companies such as Result and SIME), Kristian Luuk (presenter at SVT) are also in the list of new newcomers.

Peter Barron (Google's director of external relations in Europe, Middle East and Africa), Lisa Osborne (founder of Jigsaw Global), Aaqil Ahmed (head of BBC editors Religion and Ethics), Paul Lewis (Special Projects Editor for the Guardian), and Rosan Bosch (artist and architect) are the guests who have been presented previously.

"The goal of Meg is to gather people with different backgrounds together for discussions that can inspire, challenge and surprise. We always introduce more names and it feels great to see so many interesting and inspiring people participate," says Åsa Bernlo, director of Meg.
The program includes all kinds of issues ranging from technology to freedom of expression, innovation, politics, business, accountability and ethics.
Representatives of the Swedish radio and communication agencies, electronics industry, newspaper and magazine publishers, journalists will also be involved in seminars among other participants.
