Nobel Prize Laureate at the Göteborg Book Fair
Nobel Laureate in Literature 2009, Herta Müller, has visited Göteborg Book Fair twice; in 1993 and in 2008.
In 2008 Herta Müller was part of 'Voices from Romania', organised in cooperation with the Romanian Cultural Institute in Stockholm. She was born in Romania and now lives in Germany. Herta Müller took part in two seminars in 2008, and both of these are available to listen to on the Göteborg Book Fair website.
This is the 19th Nobel Laureate to visit Göteborg Book Fair, and Herta Müller is the seventh winner to have attended the Fair first and then be awarded the Prize. Seamus Heaney was awarded the Nobel Prize the same year he visited the Fair.
